Jailbreak is part of the fundraising body at the university, Raising and Giving (RAG), where students are given the time limit to get as far away from Reading as possible.
The teams taking part were not allowed to spend any money, just their skills of persuasion on the trip.
RAG was fundraising for three local charities: Creating Better Futures, Trust House Reading and Voice of the Child.
RAG President, Natasha Travers, said: "After a weekend of begging, blagging and fundraising, our 13 teams have left us absolutely speechless. Having travelled 9500 miles, ending in 9 countries and 3 continents and currently having raised over £4400, our teams have absolutely smashed Jailbreak 2016!"
The teams set off from STA Travel on Friar Street, the company offered a £250 prize to the winners.
RAG's winning team travelled over 3500 miles to Abu Dhabi after going in the cockpit during their flight.
Team Ben, Mem & Em, who were made up of students Ben Cummings, Alex Memory and Emily Lancaster planned their trip beforehand having gained sponsorship from estate agents Adams.
Other teams' final destinations included Kings of the North who ended up in Amsterdam, Sarah Williams and Immy Perryman in Morocco and RUNC Breaking Free in Cyprus.
